Peak hours operate 7 days a week from 08:00 to 20:00 (ie through the day).
Off-peak hours operate 7 days a week from 20:01 to 07:59 (ie through the night).
In the event you are likely to exceed your monthly cap our system will send you friendly
emails in advance based on predicted data. The email will give you three options to
- Do nothing. Your broadband account will be speed limited to 128k once your peak hours
cap has been reached. You will not be charged for any excess usage. The speed limiting will be
automatically removed on the 1st of the next calendar month.
- Upgrade your cap. You can choose at any time to make a change to your data cap
whether that be to increase or decrease it. If you upgrade you cap you simply pay the difference
betweem the two packages.
- Pay for excess usage. You can opt to pay £1.50 per gigabyte for any excess usage.
This may work out to be cheaper than upgrading the cap, especially if you only likely to exceed
it a little. If you choose this option no speed limiting will be applied, and invoice for the
excess usage raised on the 1st of the next calendar month.
