Available as standard across all our reseller platforms
We allow you to view all your customer's connections. The moment you place an order via the control panel it is available to view and track. We also allow you to see at a glance the status of all your orders including their current online status (represented by coloured balls beside each username).
When you edit a broadband connection in the control panel you have instant access to powerful tools. These allow you to track the progress of the order, amend product details, and will assist you in diagnosing faults in real-time. We are constantly developing this to put you in full automated control of your customer's connections.
Unlike most ISP's we do not believe in fancy gimmicks or long term contracts. This is reflected in ICUK's own broadband services, and in our reseller. Therefore the minimum contract length you can apply to all customer's is 1 month. There are no strings attached or penalty clauses.
The modify function allows you to change the speed and data cap for a customer's connection. For example, you could upgrade a customer's ADSL Max profile to a ADSL 2+ connection for a one-off regrade fee, or change their download cap from 20GB to 5GB.
The ban facility is ideal for non-paying customer's whose connection is effectively suspended. It first of all terminates the session, and any further authentication attempts to the radius servers are refused.
Non-paying customer's, or those who abuse their connections, can have their speeds reduced to a crawl. This can be useful in non-paying situations where cutting off the customer's connection wouldn't help matters. The speed changes can be seen instantly.
Should you require your customer's connection to be reset you can force this to happen using the Terminate facility. Their current session will stop and their router should automatically attempt to reconnect.
If the xDSL connection is no longer required the cease function allows you to cancel the connection. You don't have to wait 30 days, the cease is provided to BT and this can typically take 5 days to take effect. There are no penalty charges or minimum contract lengths.
Broadband Enhanced Care offers a four hour response to reported faults and a Service Level Guarantee that an End User Access fault will be cleared within 20 clock hours of the service provider reporting it to the Service Management Centre (SMC). This is an additional product available on BT Wholesale based ADSL and FTTx products.
KBD is the main diagnostic tool that BT Wholesale provide all ISPs. In order to raise a fault it's a mandatory requirement BT Wholesale place on providers in order to escalate a fault. It normally completes in 5 minutes and our design enables you to see a snap shot of important data as well as the ability to drill in deeper.
BT Wholesale provide a number of stability options which tweak the SNR margins of the connection. As standard a connection will be placed on a 'standard' profile. There are two further steps including 'stable' and 'super stable', which will decrease the maximum speed your line will achieve if applied.
These allow you access to real-time logs showing you each and every authentication attempt by your customer's. These are superb for support issues where customer's are unable to connect. They will even show if the password used is incorrect.
Similar to the radius logs however they can show the length of connections and the reasons for disconnection (eg customer request, or potential issues with the connection). In the case of capped services data sent and received is monitored and listed.
BT Wholesale provide us with feeds of known major service outages. As a reseller you can not only gain access to a complete list of known issues, we clearly label the usernames of any of your customer's which will be affected by these. Once fixed details of the fix are shown allowing you to relay this onto the customer.
In a similar fashion to the Major Service Outage notifications we allow resellers access to a complete list of planned engineering works affecting BT Wholesale equipment or exchanges. Details of the work and times / dates are shown along with confirmation of which users may be affected.
A great tool that helps track the profile speed which has been applied to a broadband connection at the exchange. Only available to BT Wholesale connections it can sometimes help explain why broadband speeds have dropped or falling. If the profile BT set is low, the achieved speed will also be low, but there may be reasons behind these reductions.
Available for BT Wholesale based ADSL customer's we provide an SNR reset functionality allowing you to request that the exchange software reset its current profile and retrain to take into account any changed conditions (eg a voice affecting fault has resolved, and you now want the line to retain to regain a better SNR value and higher speeds).
Our mapping tool provides you with visibility of your broadband estate mapped onto a Google map. This can help you understand and view regional outages and how they affect your customers. You can plot onto this details of exchanges, major outage and planned works. It provides you with a new dimension to faults.
We offer both capped and unlimited broadband packages on our platform. If you opt for a capped product, the data is split with usage allocated for (08:00 - 19:59) and off-peak (20:00 - 07:59). Warnings are provided in the event a connection is likely to exceed their limits with options to choose from.
All our connections are supplied with unlimited uploads. So even if you were to pick from one of our capped solutions, the cap only applies to what is downloaded, not what is pushed out of the connection.
We update the usage of all connections every 30 minutes to provide you a near real-time idea of the traffic flowing through a connection. Hourly, daily and monthly summaries of data transfer are provided. These can be viewed by yourself and your customer's through the control panel.
To help you make sense of data transfer, data classification is shown. We will never show what has been accessed, but we can show you the signatures of the traffic flowing (eg 10% VoIP, 50% HTTP web traffic, 40% streaming). This can aid in situations where data transfer is inexplicably higher than expected.
You can assign Static and Routed IP addresses to each and every broadband connection easily using our IP pools. Should you no longer require them they can be easily be removed just as easily as they were added, and the connection is restored to a dynamic IP. IPv4 and IPv6 options are available on all our connections.
Using our control panel you can easily see the static and routed IP addresses that have been assigned to a customer's broadband connection. Once assigned you can easily amend the reverse DNS records yourself without the need to raise support cases to us to apply them. This applies to both our IPv4 and IPv6 addresses.
If you have your own IP range from RIPE, then we can advertise them for you. This allows you to automatically assign and manage them via our control panels, including managing reverse DNS.
Similar to that seen on our website, the basic checker shows a condensed summary of the broadband technologies and speeds available to an existing line or address.
Enter a list of phone numbers you want to check on, and our scripts will email you a spreadsheet in return detailing the availability broadband products, predicted speeds, and post code information for analysis.
Every function available to resellers within the control panel for managing broadband connections is available via our very latest REST based API. This includes access to ready made, easy to integrate, checker tools for your own website.
Tags are used to confirm who the provider is of a broadband connection on a phone line. By request we can enable this functionality for established resellers.
Similar to our white label name of interdns for our hosting reseller services, we use interdsl.net for our ADSL services. This realm is used for your clients ADSL usernames (email@example.com) and for reverse DNS. Custom reverse DNS records can be set by request on a per user basis.
Large resellers with in excess of 100 connections are welcome to apply for their own realm. This will provide a greater branded experience to the end user without being concerned with the generic white label option. However, it should be stressed that the customer only interacts with the realm upon setting up their router.
