Your first step to accessing next generation speeds
Peak hours operate 7 days a week from 08:00 to 20:00 (ie through the day).
Off-peak hours operate 7 days a week from 20:01 to 07:59 (ie through the night).
In the event you are likely to exceed your monthly cap our system will send you friendly emails in advance based on predicted data. The email will give you three options to pick from:
Unlike the caps imposed on how much you download, we don't restrict or cap the data that leaves your connection. This means that you could look to use the higher upload speeds that FTTC delivers for solutions such as off-site cloud backup.
There are total of three speed variations with FTTC. Much like with ADSL connections they are rate adaptive and are subject to the distance and quality of your line from the enabled street cabinet, and bandwidth capacity limitations within the exchange and ICUK network.
What Speeds Can I Receive?
To understand what package your line is capable of supporting please use our availability checker which will give you an indication. If the speed is only predicted at 30Mbps downstream, there would be little point in requesting an Enterprise FTTC as the theoritical speed wouldn't be possible.
Do I Need a Higher Upload Speed?
Businesses often stand the most to gain from a higher upload speed. Sending files, whether that be through email, FTP or backups, become a lot quicker with a higher upload speed. If you are unsure please contact a member of staff to discuss your connection requirements.
